The Construction Development Alliance (CDA) are arranging our biannual Young Person in Construction Awards in May this year at Burnley Mechanics.

The Young Person in Construction (YPC) Awards 2023 aim to support, congratulate and encourage young people to continue their construction pursuits. CDA wants to recognise these young people’s daily work and let them know they are seen, recognised and appreciated.

We have all been young and fresh in the workplace. It’s a stressful time to decide what you want to do with your life and if the job you are training for is genuinely for you.

Making a better Today by supporting the Young People of Tomorrow!

After the delays in 2020,  the CDA members are hosting the Young Person in Construction Awards (YPCA).

What Awards?

The Awards are a way for our members and the local communities to get together and celebrate the new professionals for their hard work and achievements.

The awards are perfect for showing your support and nominating that construction student, apprentice, or young professional.

Are they 16-25 years old?

A UK citizen or permanent resident?

Are they studying or working in the construction industry?

If you can say yes to these questions, you have no excuse not to nominate them.

The categories are:

  • Overcoming Adversity
  • Young Apprentice
  • Construction Professional
  • Young Construction Environmentalist
  • Young Designer

At the end of the night, an overall winner will be announced.

As of 20th April 2023, the nomination period for YPC Awards 2023 is closed.

The Construction Development Alliance (CDA) would like to thank all the participants for this year’s YPC Awards Nominations.

The nomination page will remain open, but the nominations received after 20th April 2023 will be collated into the following awards in 2025. Nominators will be contacted to confirm the nomination closer to the following awards.
